Benefits:
The FlexChoice Program
YRC Worldwide provides employees each pay period a contribution to help offset the cost of benefits. This contribution
is referred to as FlexDollars and is based upon the salary you are paid, the number of eligible dependents you
have regardless if you cover them or not under any of the FlexChoice plans and the cost of certain core benefits
such as medical, dental, vision and long-term disability insurance. During the enrollment process, you will receive
a personalized enrollment statement to assist in making your elections. This worksheet will show the FlexDollars
you will be provided and used to offset the cost of your benefit selections; so the net impact to your paycheck
is less.
Medical
As previously communicated, employees will be offered multiple medical plan options from which to select. For 2008,
the FlexChoice plan will provide employees with three medical plan options administered by BlueCross BlueShield.
Two of the medical plans being offered for 2008 are participating provider options (PPO) with various copay and
coinsurance levels and the third is a consumer driven health (CDH) plan with a healthcare reimbursement account.
During annual enrollment, your personalized employee materials will reflect the available options from which you
can select. Shown below are the three PPO plans

Vision
The vision plan administered by Vision Service Plan (VSP) provides for eye exams, eyeglass lenses, frames, and
contact lenses. Benefits are higher if you use a VSP network provider than if you use a non-VSP provider.
Life Insurance & AD&D Insurance
Life insurance is an important part of your personal safety net, especially if you have dependents. It helps support
you through the many stages of your life and ensures your dependents financial needs are met, even after you're
gone. The FlexChoice plan provides one (1) times your salary to a maximum of $50,000 of group term life insurance
automatically ensuring a basic level of security for your dependents. You also have the opportunity to purchase
supplemental life insurance coverage in increments of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x your salary at affordable group rates
as well.
With the FlexChoice Benefits Program you have the opportunity to purchase term life insurance for your spouse and/or
child on an after-tax basis. Spouse life insurance provides a choice of 9 different coverage levels as well as
a choice of two options for children. All options are at affordable group rates as well.
Separate from the life insurance options you have available at YRCW, is group accidental death and dismemberment
insurance. AD&D provides you and your family financial protection and security in the event something unexpected
should occur. Multiple levels of coverage amounts are offered for you to purchase in either, single or family levels.
Your enrollment materials will display the options you have available as well as the cost for coverage.
Long-Term Disability Insurance (LTD)
Long Term Disability insurance is designed to help you cover costs in case you are injured and unable to carry
out substantial duties of your regular occupation. Long-term disability insurance helps you pay living expenses
while you are unable to work. It offers paycheck protection- providing cash directly to you for spending on mortgage
payments or rent, groceries, utility bills, car payments, or whatever else you choose. With the flexibility offered
through the FlexChoice Benefits Program, you will be able to tailor your choice to your needs, factoring in financial
obligations and level of protection you and your family desire.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
The Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an important feature to emphasize in our program because it helps reduce
your out of pocket costs. By setting aside "pre-tax funds" into this account, you can use these funds
to pay for medical, dental, prescription drugs, vision, and dependant care expenses, etc. The advantage to you
is that you will be saving 20 to 35% on the cost of these items based upon your individual income tax rate. The
company has worked with our medical, pharmacy, dental and vision vendors to offer our employees the convenience
of having auto-rollover of their claims. When claims are processed (such as medical, pharmacy, vision or dental)
and you're responsible for a portion of the costs, you can choose to have the claim automatically rollover to your
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for reimbursement.
